About the Design
Jamie Wolfond describes this piece as “simultaneously technical and human.” It starts as a single length of soft silver wire, which is wrapped into a loose knot and then hammered. That hammering does two things: it stiffens the wire, making it wearable, and flattens each connection into a kind of two-dimensional image.
About the Collaboration
Jamie Wolfond's process is hands-on and material-led, where ideas emerge through making and experimentation. Translating his approach into something wearable meant rethinking scale and function, but keeping the same spirit that makes his work so brilliant: direct, thoughtful, and a little playful.
Every bangle is made to order, minimising waste and ensuring care at every stage. Please allow 5 business days before shipping (and an extra 5 for gold-plating).

The Knotted Bangle is made from a single length of silver wire. The wire is wrapped around itself to create a loose structure and then hammered. Hammering the soft wire simultaneously stiffens the material and transforms this system of connections into a two-dimensional image. The resulting piece is simultaneously technical and human, deriving its cartoon-like character from the very structure that is used to support it.

ABOUT SILVER AND GOLD VERMEIL
100% Recycled 925 Silver and recycled Gold Vermeil. Our gold vermeil styles are made of silver plated with 18k gold - of at least 3 microns. The finish is five times thicker than average gold-plating, and far more durable.
